<p style="text-align: left;">Announcing our access into the international High Speed Internet Access Market with the addition of the Bell Canada Network to our <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> offerings.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Now our Canadian friends to the North can acquire <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> High Speed Internet Access with us using the Bell Canada Network which is primarily with coverage in the Ontario and Quebec regions of Canada.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">With this expansion this clearly puts into the International High Speed Internet Access Market while at the same time greatly expanding our <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">Broadband</a> Internet Access footprint and availability.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Not only does this add more competition in the Canadian Market, but also clearly more competition in the customer service department which few businesses can compete with us for friendly knowledgeable customer service and the ability to take action as required to server our client base with friendly reliable service.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">If you are in Canada and ready for a change, contact us or <a title="Canada DSL High Speed Broadband Internet Access" href="http://209.115.108.5/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access/canada-dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access/">sign up directly for our DSL High Speed Internet Access</a> and we are sure you will be pleased with the level of service and have confidence in our continued presence and the ability to serve customers well in the Canadian Access Market.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">We also offer <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dialup-internet-access/">Dialup</a> Internet Access in Canada for those whom address does not qualify for service due to being too far from the Digital CO.</p>

<p>At this moment in time there are many different types of Internet Access Services available, to include but not limited to <a title="Dialup Internet Access" href="http://209.115.108.5/internet-access-services/dialup-internet-access/">Dialup Internet Access</a>, <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> (Digital Subscriber Line) Internet Access, Cable Internet Access, Satellite Internet Access, and Wireless Internet Access.</p>
<p>During the Mid 1990&#8242;s Internet Access originally became available to the public via <a title="Dialup Internet Access" href="../internet-access-services/dialup-internet-access/">Dialup Internet Access</a>, prior to that time was BBS&#8217;s (Bulletin Board Services) that folks could communicate with via <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dialup-internet-access/">dialup</a> getting various content but the content was relatively limited in scope.</p>
<p>Commonly for both BBS&#8217;s and the then new Internet, a person or business wanting to access the BBS or Internet used a <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dialup-internet-access/">Dialup</a> <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">Modem</a> and a phone line. Relatively speaking this seemed pretty fast since multimedia and large files were not readily available from both BBS&#8217;s and the Internet. Originally <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dialup-internet-access/">Dialup</a> speeds started extremely slow at 100 bits per second and progressed to 56,000 bits per second as technology progressed and the advent of <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">Broadband</a> or High Speed Internet Access came about such as <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a>, Cable, and Satellite.</p>
<p>Today, though relatively slow, <a title="Dial up Internet access" href="http://209.115.108.5/internet-access-services/dialup-internet-access/">Dial up Internet Access</a> still plays a part in telecommunications but on a very limited level with many people mostly using it to access the Internet for email, simple games, and viewing web sites. It is still common for traveling business folks to use <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dialup-internet-access/">dialup</a> as well so as to not be cut off from the Internet while traveling and staying in Motels and Hotels. It is generally low cost and meets the needs of folks as described above.</p>
<p>The advent of <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">Broadband</a> Internet Access also known as High Speed Internet Access, such as <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> and Cable, brought with it much higher speeds &#8211; generally starting at a minimum of 512,000 (512kbps) bits per second and commonly starting at 1,024,000 (1024kbps) bits per second with maximum speeds currently around 9 million bits per second (9 MB&#8217;s per second)</p>
<p>With all that speed the possibilities became enormous, developers and businesses alike came out with applications of many kinds to take advantage of these speeds and with it new kinds of service offerings to include but not limited to Telephony (Telephone over the Internet or commonly called VoIP (<a href="http://www.globaltelephonesystems.com/">Voice over IP</a>)), Rich Media Games, and an almost infinite amount of other products and services that are still going strong with more being developed everyday.</p>
<p>Each of the modes of connectivity have there advantages and disadvantages and are listed below in order of what we believe are there economical effectiveness.</p>
<p><a title="Dialup Internet Access" href="http://209.115.108.5/internet-access-services/dialup-internet-access/">Dialup</a> is available through us in most of the United States and a large part of Canada, requires a Landline, and is the lowest cost for connectivity.</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> High Speed <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">Broadband</a> Internet Access Service in which we also provide requires a Land line and is currently the most economical of the High Speed Internet Access platforms. But <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> has it&#8217;s limitations requiring the receiving location to not be further then 15,000 feet from a serving Central Office. This is due to the fact that the <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> signal itself has a range limitation and becomes too weak for proper service after the 15,000 foot range. <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> Also allows the regular phone service to work without interruption with Internet Access simultaneously. <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> Also supports Internet Telephony for low cost phone services.</p>
<p>Cable High Speed <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">Broadband</a> Internet Access Service which we do not offer at this time for the most part is relatively expensive compared to <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> but the distance limitations seem to be overcome and the speeds can be the highest, depending on how many people are using it at the moment. While <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> is specifically used and provisioned for use by the subscribing customer, with cable the more using it the slower it gets because the Bandwidth is shared among the users rather then specifically provisioned. Cables limitations are cable service must be available or more accurately the cable run to the location for access.</p>
<p>Satellite High Speed <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">Broadband</a> Internet Access Service which we also do not offer at this time for the most part is the most expensive and least cost effective of Internet Access Services. It does have the advantage that it will work almost anywhere the Satellite dish has a clear access to a certain part of the sky, but its bandwidth is not nearly as close in speeds as that of <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> and Cable. However, it is still fast enough to support  telephony service and for remote locations may be the only option available.</p>
<p>Wireless Internet Access which is the least common outside of a residential or business location to date is due to its relatively limited range, does not compare to the speeds offered by other High Speed <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">Broadband</a> Internet Service options, but does have its conveniences to include not being wired. We have no information on the costs associated with <a target="_blank" href="http://computerelectronics.online-outlet-shopping-center.com/search.php?q=wireless">wireless</a> at this time.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> High Speed <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">Broadband</a> Internet Access is in our opinion the most affordable, cost effective, bang for the buck, High Speed Internet Access available even considering the cost of a Landline Telephone Line which is required to provide <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> to the location.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The main draw back with <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> (Digital Subscriber Line) is that it is distance sensitive &#8211; one must be within 15,000 feet of a Digital Central Office &#8211; therefore location, location, location is of the utmost importance when considering <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> as your High Speed Internet Access service.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Concerning <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> High Speed Internet Access with us, in addition to being within the distance limits from the CO one must have Landline Telephone Service with AT&amp;T, SBC, Verizon, or Bell Canada.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">We do offer <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> availability without Landline Telephone Service to Qualifying locations in the Verizon and Bell Canada territories &#8211; in which a landline is run to the location specifically to provide <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> but without telephone service. In the case of AT&amp;T/SBC territory, currently <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> service without Landline Telephone Service is not available.</p>

<p class="content">it is really best to get the <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> from them as it will meet their specifications, as well you can avoid the hassle of the <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">router</a>, however from a more technical support standpoint, they will only support <a target="_blank" href="http://computerelectronics.online-outlet-shopping-center.com/search.php?q=linksys">linksys</a> <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">routers</a> and THEIR modems, so if you do purchase another <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> from somewhere else your technical support will be EXTREMELY limited. However, for greater technical support and service flexibility you can always <a target="_blank" href="http://computerelectronics.online-outlet-shopping-center.com/search.php?q=switch">switch</a> service to us and we will send you a new <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> or when you have service with us you always have the option of using any of the modems and/or <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">routers</a> listed in our Known to be Compatible Listing  <img src='http://dslservice.fab-host.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<h3>DSLServiceProvider answers:</h3>
<p class="content">You do not have a <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> at the moment, but an ethernet card. You must get a <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> to use <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> (your provider should offer to sell you one). The good news is that the <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> will most likely need an ethernet socket to attach to your machine. You may be able to do it by USB, but use ethernet if you can. It&#8217;s better because to do it that way because it&#8217;s faster (I think) and very many other devices can only use USB. It&#8217;s better to have that USB freed up for future use.</p>

<p class="headshot"><img src="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/DSLtelephone-150x1501-cropped.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<h3>DSLServiceProvider answers:</h3>
<p class="content">Short answer: no. It is not possible.</p>
<p>You cannot control the throughput of the <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> or your <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> connection. I am curious about how you are determining your speed? Is it just that websites start loading slower? Or are you running an actual throughput test with no other software accessing the Internet?</p>
<p>In any case, there are a few things you can do to get the most out of your Internet connection.</p>
<p>First, don&#8217;t use the USB cable. Get a patch cable and connect the <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> to your computer&#8217;s network card. Best to get a <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">router</a> as you said. I just did a test on my own <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a>. I get close to 7 Mbps (actual throughput) with a direct connection to my PC&#8217;s network card or with a <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">router</a>. However, when using USB, that drops down to about 4.5 Mbps. That&#8217;s a huge loss just for using a USB cable. Since your connection is only a fraction the speed of mine, I would guess that makes a big difference for you.</p>
<p>Second, be aware that if you have any software that does automatic updates, or if you have any malware (Trojans, spyware, etc.) that is downloading/uploading garbage, this can account for getting good throughput right after reconnecting the <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> and then seeing a drop-off after a few seconds/minutes. It isn&#8217;t that your connection became slower; you just are transferring other data which is using up your bandwidth.</p>
<p>Third, you will never get the full connection speed that your ISP advertises. There is overhead, signal degradation due to distance, old wiring, etc. If you are getting 75-85% of the advertised speed in actual throughput, that&#8217;s pretty good. Especially for a low speed like yours. I get about 90% of my advertised speed in throughput on a good day.</p>
<p>Try testing your actual speed against several servers:</p>
<p>http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/</p>
<p>Hope all this helps.</p>

<p class="content">ha ha ha &#8230;.Gray</p>
<p>ignore dial up connection, it&#8217;s totally different&#8230;</p>
<p>Do like this:<br />
ADSL can <a target="_blank" href="http://computerelectronics.online-outlet-shopping-center.com/search.php?q=switch">switch</a> off in two way only:<br />
1.&gt;from your computer (ADSL <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> is STILL ON)<br />
2.&gt;from the <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">router</a> it self (ADSL <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> is OFF)</p>
<p>how to:<br />
1.&gt;from your computer<br />
&gt;.Start &gt;Control Panel &gt;Network Connections &gt;Local Area Connection<br />
in Local Area Connection Status in General tab &gt;Properties &gt;Check the Box &gt;Show Icon&#8230; (the Icon will Showed on your Right hand Taskbar. &gt;click OK &gt;Close.<br />
Now if you want to disconnected from Internet &gt;Click on the Icon Local Area Connection (double click OR right click) &gt;DISABLE</p>
<p>Up to this point you are OFF or disconnect from the internet BUT the ADSL <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> is still ON.</p>
<p>If you NEED internet connection just &gt;Click on the Icon Local Area Connection (double click OR right click) &gt;ENABLE</p>
<p>how to:<br />
2.&gt;from the <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">router</a><br />
&gt; GET UP Switch OFF the <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">router</a> ADSL <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> &gt;with your hand &gt;GO BACK and continue with your work.</p>
<p>Up to this point you are OFF or disconnect from the internet and the ADSL <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> also OFF.</p>
<p>if you NEED internet connection just &gt;GET UP Switch ON the <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">router</a> ADSL <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase.php?category=3">modem</a> &gt;with your hand &gt;GO BACK and continue with your work.</p>
<p>&gt;good luck!</p>

<p class="dtm-content">It was tested but the voltages and magnetic fields were too much to send a decent quality signal through. It would have also been too expensive to install equipment into every sub-station in order to filter out the signals.</p>
<p>Though a lot of the UK&#8217;s fiber lines run along the high tension power lines &#8211; they are generally wrapped around the very top &#8216;guy&#8217; line.</p>

<h3>DSLServiceProvider answers:</h3>
<p class="dtm-content">Good question. BPL was supposed to be the Holy Grail for delivering <a href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">broadband</a> to rural areas, since power lines go everywhere. However, I think it has run into a number of problems with achieving sufficient bandwidth in the presence of all that power line noise. And <a target="_blank" href="http://computerelectronics.online-outlet-shopping-center.com/search.php?q=wireless">wireless</a> technologies seem to have replaced it.</p>
<p>I think utility companies are still interested in it for low bandwidth things like meter reading, but even there, <a target="_blank" href="http://computerelectronics.online-outlet-shopping-center.com/search.php?q=wireless">wireless</a> is often used. My Mom&#8217;s water meter is read by a truck that drives down the streets and wirelessly reads her water meter.</p>

<p class="dtm-content">Don&#8217;t see why not. If it is doing any checks on the connection, it will only be looking at throughput. It can&#8217;t tell the difference between <a target="_blank" href="http://dslservice.fab-host.com/internet-access-services/dsl-high-speed-broadband-internet-access-2/">DSL</a> and cable, so I can&#8217;t see why it would mind.</p>

<p>You probably can do a search of it on the patent office website.</p>
